Sounds like a friend of mine that owns a car dealership. Every single customer asks for huge discounts, so why is it appropriate to expect it in some instances and not others? The worst that can happen is you get your solicitation rejected and that leaves you where you started. The best that can happen is more money in your pocket. It's a 'no lose' situation!
